Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks an experienced inpatient/outpatient coding auditor in Miramar, FL. The role focuses on auditing ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, APC, MSDRG and APRDRG assignments and ensuring compliance with AHIMA guidelines. You will train staff and respond to external coding denial audits.

Required credentials include RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC, with 3+ years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience. Strong knowledge of AHIMA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional coding certification requirement(s) for AHIMA or AAPC credentials.
• Experience auditing inpatient or outpatient coding per coding guidelines.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, MSDRG, APR-DRG and AHIMA query standards.

Responsibilities

• Audit ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and APC coding on inpatient/outpatient records.
• Analyze and resolve claim denials from Revenue Cycle and external audits.
• Provide training and education based on audit results and regulatory changes.
• Serve as a coding expert resource and mentor to staff.
