Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Coder Auditor to review medical records for outpatient visits and ensure accurate coding. You will finalize coding and abstraction, verifying ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS accuracy based on clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Education and professional credentials aligned with outpatient coding.
• CCS certification is required and strongly preferred qualifications include RHIT/RHIA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and anatomy for accurate coding.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation for outpatient visits to ensure diagnosis and procedure codes are accurate.
• Finalize coding and abstracting, ensuring ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS accuracy is supported by clinical documentation.
• Participate in chart review projects and other duties as assigned.
