Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to research and abstract outpatient codes for physician services, ensuring accuracy and billability. You will work with UMC coding guidelines and maintain compliance with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and reimbursement rules.

Responsibilities include identifying coding opportunities, reporting trends, and collaborating with management to implement improvements while upholding productivity and accuracy standards in a hospital/physician

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of outpatient coding experience.
• Formal education in a related field may be substituted for experience year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Research and abstract medical codes to ensure accurate, complete, and billable outpatient/physician services.
• Identify coding opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Monitor trends and escalate discrepancies to management.
