Job summary

Savista, LLC seeks an experienced Outpatient Facility Coder to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding for Same Day Surgery and Emergency Department encounters. You will review clinical documentation, assign codes, and support compliant billing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will apply outpatient facility guidelines, maintain a 95% quality standard, and collaborate with client teams. The role emphasizes attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of coding rules.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential.
• 1 year of outpatient facility coding experience (recent).
• Experience coding Same Day Surgery and/or Emergency Department facility services.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Ability to meet productivity expectations while maintaining a 95% quality level.
• Successful completion of pre-employment coding assessments (≥80%).

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT/HCPCS procedure codes for outpatient services.
• Code Same Day Surgery and Emergency Department encounters.
• Assign codes for various surgical, diagnostic, and ED services.
• Apply current outpatient facility coding guidelines for accuracy and compliance.
• Validate APC assignments when applicable.
• Abstract required clinical and patient information from medical records.
• Stay updated on coding updates and client-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with client teams to resolve documentation issues.
