Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (PRN) to support outpatient care. You will interview patients, take vital signs, document measurements, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations under a physician's direction.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of an accredited medical assisting program; certification (CCMA/CMA or similar) and BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
• AMT/AAMA/NHA/NAHP/CCMA/CMA certification or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required or acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and records vital signs.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations.
• Maintains and documents accurate patient information in medical records.
