Job summary

Adventist Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) for our Clearlake clinic. The role supports physicians, RN staff and clinic operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will perform clinical tasks, assist with exams, document vital information and ensure patient comfort throughout visits. The job requires CMA certification, National CMA, CPR, and basic medical terminology; phlebotomy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Clinic-medical office experience preferred.
• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• National Medical Assistant certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Basic medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists practitioner and RN with basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services and procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist or his designee.
• Cross-trains for front office functions and fills in as needed.
• Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.
• Maintains confidentiality of staff, patient and administrative information in the Clinic, hospital and community setting.
