Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) to support clinic physicians and the nursing staff in a controlled outpatient care area. This role serves diverse age groups including Infant, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients and is represented by RCHEA.

The CMA will assist practitioners, maintain lab and treatment areas, and help with front-office tasks while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology preferred.
• Clinic-medical office experience preferred.
• CPR Certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assists practitioner and RN with basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services.
• Cross-trains for front office functions and fills in as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of staff, patient and administrative information in the Clinic, hospital and community setting.
• Maintains lab and treatment rooms in an orderly manner.
• Observes all clinic protocols and procedures as written.
