Job summary

Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for outpatient clinic support. Requirements include National Medical Assistant certification, current CPR, and preferred phlebotomy certification; high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists practitioner and RN with basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services under licensed supervision.
• Cross-trains for front office functions and fills in as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of staff, patient and administrative information in clinic, hospital and community setting.
• Maintains lab and treatment rooms in an orderly manner.
• Performs waived lab tests and prepares samples for shipment to hospital lab.
• Prepares patient for provider exam and collects all baseline information and records in the patient chart.
