Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO, seeks a PRN Clinical Pharmacist to collaborate with the MHS Pharmacy team on-site. Responsibilities include ensuring proper medication use, counseling patients, and staying current with therapies through ongoing professional development.

Minimum requirements include a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and state licensure as a Pharmacist with life support certification as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

Responsibilities

Ensure medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices.
Provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, accurate dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions.
Stay current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care to ensure optimal outcomes.
