Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide technical, supportive, age-specific patient care in an outpatient clinic setting.

You will assist with patient flow, take vital signs, collect specimens, perform basic tests, document interventions, and support the care team while maintaining safety and confidentiality. CPR certification is required and prior MA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• CPR certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient flow in the outpatient clinic.
• Obtain vital signs and document chief complaint and reason for visit.
• Perform basic tests and collect specimens.
• Safely and properly administer medications as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with equipment maintenance.
