Job summary

Thrive Now Recovery Centers announces a founding Clinical Director role for its Des Moines outpatient program. You will shape the clinical model, lead a growing team, and build workflows focused on quality, accountability, accessibility, and long-term recovery.

As part of the Thrive Now network in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, you’ll drive staffing, programming, and regulatory readiness to ensure exceptional patient care in a new outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, MFT, Psychology, or related field required.
• Current Iowa behavioral health license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Independent clinical licensure strongly preferred (e.g., LISW/LMHC/LMFT).
• Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and oversight of outpatient clinical programming.
• Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain a strong clinical team.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and professional development.
• Ensure treatment is individualized, evidence-based, and trauma-informed.
