Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Mercy Anderson Hospital to support pharmacy services within an interdisciplinary care team. You will prepare pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, audits, and financial transactions while delivering strong customer service and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.

The role reports to the Pharmacist and requires a High School Degree or GED and valid ExCPT certification with state board registration.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• ExCPT certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.
• Reviewing and recording patient information with prescriptions.
• Providing instructions to educate patients on how to take medications.
• Supporting the Pharmacist in daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Adhering to infection-control protocols and policies to protect staff and patients.
• Other duties as assigned.
