Job summary

The Duke University Health System Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Cardiology provides direct patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant under supervision, serving in inpatient units, EP, HF, VAD, and transplant teams across cardiology services.

In this role you will perform exams, orders, discharge planning, and coordinate care with attending physicians, residents, and staff while contributing to excellence in patient care, research, and teaching.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level training in cardiology patient care.
• Ability to perform assessments, orders, and care planning.
• Strong interprofessional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and established cardiology patients.
• Perform history and physicals; develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate diagnostic studies and patient discharge planning.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and credentialing.
