Job summary

Qualifications

• Maintain current BLS certification and valid MA-related credential(s) per recognized certifying bodies.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education according to policies.
• Schedules specialty testing/consultations and communicates with patients.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or 1 year MA experience

BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

CCMA CMA CMAC NCMA NRCMA NRCAMA RMA ARMA/AMT/ARMA certifications (and equivalents)
