Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This outpatient role supports coordinated care, patient education, and procedure prep in a Magnet-certified hospital.

The position emphasizes no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call, with a Monday–Friday schedule and onsite work at the WashU Heart Care Institute on Barnes Jewish West County Campus.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required for RN licensure.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience preferred.
• RN license/certification required for practice in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Coordinates safe, evidence-based patient care across the care continuum.
• Monitors care data to optimize patient outcomes and educate patients/families.

Role Purpose

Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Coordinates the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care governed by evidence-based clinical practice.
• Monitors care and data to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate the education of patients and families. Acts as a resource to the health care team.
• Ensures actions meet and support the overall goals of the business.
