Job summary

iCare Health Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct behavioral health support for adults and adolescents in outpatient settings. The role includes structured 1:1 sessions, skills training, and group facilitation to support recovery and treatment goals.

Responsibilities include documentation, crisis awareness, collaboration with clinicians, and engagement with clients to promote attendance and participation in care plans.

Qualifications

• Must meet Arizona requirements for Behavioral Health Technician assignment.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, de-escalation, organizational, and client-engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured 1:1 behavioral health sessions based on assessment and treatment plan.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate behavioral health and skills-development groups.
• Teach coping skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving.
• Provide education on symptoms, triggers, recovery, and community resources.
• Support relapse-prevention education and recovery-oriented skill building.
• Assist clients with treatment-plan goals and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with case managers, nurses, therapists, and other team members.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation supporting services and time spent.
