Qualifications

Georgia RN license or multi-state equivalent is required.
2 years experience in addiction and/or behavioral health.
2-3 years in acute medical setting preferred.
Nursing degree (Associates or BSN) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes medical screening for new patients upon admission.
Monitors medication process and supervision of self-administration.
Prepares Medication Administration Record (MAR).
Provides patient education regarding medications/effects.
Understands patient treatment through assessment and team communication.
Coordinates patient meetings with physicians and documents medications.
Advocates for patient access to services during treatment team meetings.
Tracks patient appointments and coordinates physician visits.
RN to take vital signs and facilitate nursing groups.
Interprets laboratory results and assesses physiological systems during detoxification.
