Responsibilities

• Directs inpatient unit activities and evaluates patient care during the shift; informs leadership of significant events.
• Plans, organizes, and assigns staff according to skill level and patient needs; coordinates bed flow with Assessment Department.
• Applies the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing, evaluation) for all ages served.
