Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist I to provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on goal-directed treatment in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role involves discharge planning, extensive psychosocial documentation, and active participation in multidisciplinary teams. A Master's in social work or counseling is required, with Virginia licensure pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• Masters Social Work or Counseling degree required.
• Experience with the identified population preferred.
• Must pursue and obtain Virginia clinical licensure within six months of completing required hours; supervision is expected.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes discharge planning on assigned patients.
• Completes all documentation including Psychosocial Assessments, ISPs, Progress Notes, and Discharge Plans by midnight on the day of service provision.
• Maintains daily availability to provide crisis and routine support as needed.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and manages caseload, care coordination, and evidence-based interventions.
