Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking a full-time Audiologist to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative care in a clinical setting. The role requires PA licensure and a Doctorate in Audiology, with new grads welcome if licensed before 2007.

Responsibilities include a full audiology test battery, electrophysiologic testing, hearing aid evaluation, and infant screening program support. The position includes supervision of technicians and opportunities for professional growth within Geisinger.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients and families.
• Experience in audiology diagnostics and rehabilitation preferred.
• New grads welcome if licensure requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide audiological diagnostic and rehabilitative care.
• Administer standard audiometric tests (air/bone conduction, SRT, speech discrimination).
• Perform electrophysiologic testing as needed.
• Offer counseling and hearing aid evaluation/training.
• Support infant screening and aural rehabilitation services.
• Supervise Audiology Technicians and train graduate students.
• Collaborate with other departments and make referrals as appropriate.
• Report equipment issues and participate in in-service training.
