Job summary

Creekside Behavioral Health in Knoxville, Tennessee is seeking an Associate Therapist to join the outpatient team under supervision. You will perform psychosocial assessments, provide individual, family and group therapy, and help with treatment planning and discharge planning.

This onsite role requires a Master's in social services or related field, CPR and de-escalation certification, and weekly supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social services or mental health services is required.
• Weekly supervision oversight is required.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient treatment planning and progress reviews.
• Conducts group, individual or family sessions under supervision.
• Provides patient and family education on psychiatric and/or substance use problems.
• Completes psychosocial assessments focusing on key components with patient input.
• Ensures timely, clear documentation including co-signature by supervisor.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed and communicates changes to the treatment team.
• Plans and documents post-hospitalization aftercare for assigned patients.
• Performs case management duties and participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences.
