Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide counseling and addiction recovery services in a multidisciplinary team. The role requires meeting licensure or eligibility for LCSW/LPC and ACT with CAC/LAC within 5 years, and it includes evening hours a few times per week, with no weekends or holidays.

Therapists will deliver assessments, crisis interventions, and individual/group/family counseling, while adhering to DSM, ASAM, and state/federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling and licensure eligibility.
• Licensure as LCSW or LPC or QMHP eligibility is required.
• ACT eligibility and CAC/LAC within 5 years are expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide outpatient counseling and addiction recovery services.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling; crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for ongoing treatment planning.
• Provide educational programs on behavioral health topics in outpatient and hospital settings.
• Support staff training and orientation as needed and appropriate.
• Assess behavioral health status and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members; maintain confidentiality.
