Outline Interiors is seeking an on-site Interior Designer in the West Loop of Chicago to lead luxury residential projects from concept to installation. The role reports to the Principal Designer and works with a seasoned procurement team.

Expect high-profile clients, multi-million dollar budgets, and coordination with architects and trades. Ideal candidates bring 6–8 years at a top luxury firm, strong FF&E expertise, and mastery of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Revit, and 2D/3D drafting.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional interior design experience at a high-end residential design firm.
• Experience with FF&E sourcing, budgeting and installation for luxury projects.
• Ability to produce construction drawings and documentation for contractors and trades.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors and related design professionals.
• On-site work in Chicago, IL with collaboration across a multidisciplinary team.

Job description

Role:

This full-time Interior Designer role is an on-site position based in the West Loop of Chicago, IL and reports directly to the Principal Designer of the Firm. The Interior Designer will support luxury residential projects from concept through installation with budgets into the millions of dollars. This includes everything from new construction and renovations to full-scope FF&E. You must be exceptional at leading multiple projects independently and managing high-profile clients and vendor relationships with the utmost professionalism, patience, and organization. This role w ill be supported by a high caliber procurement/order coordination team with over a decade of experience.

Requirements:

You must have 6-8 years of professional interior design experience at a high-end residential design firm Deep knowledge and relationships with trade resources and proven contractors Exceptional Interior Design skills, including concept development and finish, furniture, and fixture selection and managing and tracking large budgets for high-end residential clients Strong experience and knowledge of architecture principles and coordination with architects, contractors, and related design professionals. Ability to produce and interpret construction drawings and documentation for contractors and trades. Direct experience managing FF&E sourcing, specifications, budgeting, and installation for luxury projects. Exceptional Auto CAD and Adobe Photoshop skills, and and 2D and 3D Drafting and Rendering skills in tools like Revit, and/or Sketchup Strong experience and appreciation for using project management software (Notion, HouzzPro, Studio Designer etc.) Obsessive attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills Ability to multi-task and manage multiple design projects simultaneously; you dont crack under pressure or aggressive deadlines Ability to successfully manage / mentor a Design Assistant Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional Ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and external partners.
