MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring for an Outlet Cashier at the Mills Outlet Center in Bridgeton, MO. This hourly, full-time role offers a starting wage of $15.50 per hour plus a potential bonus up to $250 per month.

Duties include greeting customers, processing transactions, weighing items, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. The position requires no degree, strong communication, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
• Must be organized and able to work with a diverse team.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist on the sales floor, and answer the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Weigh or measure purchases and operate the store cash register including cash handling, credit card transactions, returns, and balancing.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership.
• Follow safety practices and keep aisles clear of obstructions and hazards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Protect agency assets from loss or theft and report incidents.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make customers a priority by greeting and acknowledging them as they enter the store, helping on the sales floor, and answering the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Accurately weigh or measure customer’s purchases.
  Operates the store cash register: cash handling credit card transactions, appropriate discount returns, and cash register balancing.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
