Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring an Outlet Cashier to join our Market Outlet Center team. The role emphasizes friendly customer service, accurate cash handling, weighing and scanning purchases, and helping on the sales floor while keeping the store clean and organized.

This is an hourly full-time position at $15.50 per hour, with bonus potential up to $250 per month. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, life and retirement plans, PTO and paid holidays, plus flexible scheduling;

Qualifications

• No degree is required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make customers a priority by greeting and acknowledging them as they enter the store, helping on the sales floor, and answering the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Accurately weigh or measure customer’s purchases.
  Operates the store cash register: cash handling credit card transactions, appropriate discount returns, and cash register balancing.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
