Job description

At Polaris Inc., we have fun doing what we love by driving change and innovation. We empower employees to take on challenging assignments and roles with an elevated level of responsibility in our agile working environment. Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Program Relationship Manager, the Outfitter Development Specialist is a primary resource for Outfitter onboarding, education, engagement, and retention within the Polaris Adventures network. In this role, you will build proactive relationships, guide new partners from contract signing through launch, and support established Outfitters that are at risk of disengagement. The position works across regional account management, service, fleet, offering, account service, and technology teams to coordinate resources, develop learning experiences, and improve program adoption. This opportunity combines relationship management, education, data-informed problem solving, and event support to help Outfitters launch successfully and realize long-term value from their partnership with Polaris Adventures.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of approximately 20 at‑risk Outfitters across multiple regions by monitoring network health indicators, identifying signs of risk or disengagement, and determining when accounts should enter or exit at‑risk status. Conduct discovery conversations to identify root causes affecting performance, then develop action plans with Outfitters and Regional Account Managers and track progress against agreed‑upon commitments. Recommend practical and creative solutions to improve business performance, elevate complex issues and coordinate support from internal experts to reduce Outfitter fallout and strengthen network retention. Lead new Outfitter onboarding from contract signing through launch by managing timelines, readiness checklists, required milestones, onboarding calls, training sessions, and one‑on‑one coaching. Monitor new Outfitters during their first 90 days, identify launch‑readiness gaps, coordinate resources, and reinforce program requirements, operational expectations, available resources and ongoing engagement. Identify education needs using Outfitter feedback, network trends, performance data and business priorities, and collaborate with subject‑matter experts across Service, Fleet, Offering, Regional Account Management, Account Service Representatives, and Technology Development. Develop, facilitate, maintain and improve webinars, workshops, guides, best‑practice resources, training materials and other learning tools based on engagement data and participant feedback. Support local, regional and national Outfitter events by coordinating educational experiences, facilitating sessions and discussions, supporting activities, and gathering attendee feedback for future improvements. Support the adoption of new program initiatives, products, processes and tools while maintaining accurate records, tracking reports and documentation. Use MPWR Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Planner and event management platforms to support program execution, monitor engagement and participation trends, and communicate findings to leadership.

Desired Competencies:

Customer Focus: You prioritize the needs of internal or external customers and use feedback and data to improve outcomes, processes or experiences. Communication: You clearly convey information, ideas and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment. Problem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality and risk.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, education, hospitality, tourism or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer success, relationship management, training, onboarding, event coordination or a related field. Strong relationship‑building, communication and customer service skills. Experience facilitating training sessions, presentations or educational programs. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Experience creating educational content and customer‑facing resources. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Planner and related business applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Passion for outdoor recreation and customer engagement. Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed to support events and Outfitter engagement activities.
