Job summary

Amazon is hiring Transportation Associates in West Jefferson, OH, to perform trailer moves, coordinate yard activities, and conduct yard audits in a dynamic outdoor environment. You will learn CDL and hostler operations and support multiple vehicle types, contributing to a safe and efficient transportation network.

Role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, and a willingness to work 40 hours/week with possible overtime, including weekends or nights.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to understand safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority and follow safety policies for yard operations.
• Coordinate yard activities to ensure timely trailer movement with zero defects.
• Operate CMVs on yard and non-public roads as required.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and Amazon policies.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report issues to management.
• Follow schedules and maintain accurate records of hours and breaks.
• Provide peer training and support at nearby sites as needed.
• Operate loading equipment to move trailers.
