Carter Lumber in Port Clinton, OH is seeking a Yard Associate to support contractors and DIYers by helping with selection and loading of orders, pulling and staging materials for pickup or delivery, and maintaining yard inventory. Training for forklift operation is provided and safety is emphasized.

You will work outdoors in all conditions, be a strong team player with a friendly, customer-focused demeanor, and contribute to a well-organized yard and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep yard organized and clean; forklift operation training provided.
