Job summary

Stotz Equipment is seeking a Yard Specialist to keep the yard neat and safe while supporting sales, service, and parts teams. You’ll maintain the lot, load and unload equipment, and ensure accurate inventory and packing slips.

The role requires physical work, outdoor conditions, and teamwork in a family‑oriented dealership with a strong safety culture. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth through John Deere resources and company programs.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain various equipment on the lot.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely.
• Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment while following safety compliance standards.
• Reliable, efficient, and able to perform as both an independent worker and a team player.
• Self-motivated with high energy, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support coordination across departments.
• Able to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays, as needed.
• Basic computer skills for tracking inventory, completing documentation, and communication.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the yard.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of the shop and service areas.
• Assist with equipment inventory, organization, and transfers.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring all packing slips are accounted for and inspecting for damage.
• Wash and detail incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and complete work in a professional and timely manner.
