Job summary

RB Global, Inc. is seeking Yard Staff to operate primarily outdoors in all weather, ensuring safety and efficient vehicle processing at the facility. You will play a frontline role, keeping operations smooth and customer interactions positive while learning new technologies used in the auction process.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and an upbeat attitude. Familiarity with cars or basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, with forklift training provided where

Qualifications

• All candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). There are physical demands of this role, so please read them carefully and understand that this is no desk job.
• An upbeat demeanor to ensure every customer interaction is positive is a must! If you know about cars, or have general mechanical knowledge, you'll fit in great.
• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle as required for job duties.
• While it is not required, it would be great if you have: basic automotive repair skills or experience in the rental or construction area, and/or related field preferred.
• Physical Demand Highlights: ability to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly, up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally, outdoor work in all weather, and awareness of hazards around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle check-in by recording and filing information on vehicles assigned to the facility
• Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance and value at auction
• Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner, moving the vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions
• Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles and store them in the appropriate locations
• Assist visitors by providing guidance and directing them to the appropriate person
• Train and develop on the job in forklift and loader operation
