Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join the team for field-based vegetation management work. You will identify hazards, inspect rights-of-way, and document vegetation conditions using tablets and GIS tools while coordinating with customers and leadership.

The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and long hours outdoors in varied weather. A background in forestry and utility vegetation practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, and the public.
