Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team in outdoor field roles. You’ll assess hazards, manage vegetation, and document field data while driving between sites and engaging with customers and stakeholders. A strong safety mindset and independent work style are essential.

Experience with GIS, MS Office, and mobile devices is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus. This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing industry training within a field

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Able to hike/WALK ROWs and drive long distances; work outdoors in various weather/terrain.
• Experience with GIS software/technology and Microsoft Suite; comfortable with an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow safety standards, wildfire prevention, and injury prevention protocols.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions and encourage others to do the same.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work (pruning/removal) at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and complaints promptly.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Maintain positive public relations through professional conduct.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
