Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. The role promotes damage prevention in your community and offers 100% paid on-the-job training.

You will work outdoors in all weather, with independence and problem solving. A valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug screening are required; travel and physical demands apply.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; may lift up to 75 lbs with aid.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document tickets and communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
