Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground outdoors, promoting damage prevention in your community.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour. We train you on the job and provide a company vehicle with a fuel card for your daily commute, along with PTO and paid holidays. This role involves outdoor work in all weather, independence, and speedy problem solving to keep projects moving.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day 2–3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment and lift up to 25 lbs (75 lbs with aid).
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Train to locate underground utilities using provided equipment and technology.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating sequence.
• Document and process tickets and emails.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
