Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC seeks a Consulting Utility Forester/Work Planner for outdoor, independent work with a focus on safe, high-quality vegetation management for utility sites. You will organize records, patrol energy corridors, assess tree risk, engage landowners, and ensure compliance with client specifications.

Applicants should have forestry education or related experience, GIS and MS Office proficiency, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (education may be required depending on client contract).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and common computer applications; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork; review sites for endangered species and habitats.
• Field Patrol Duties: safely patrol energy corridors; identify vegetation for pruning/removal; assess tree risk and growth.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: identify property boundaries; inform owners/agencies; obtain permissions.
• Vegetation Management & Compliance: recommend sustainable strategies; audit contractor work; document findings.
• Coordination & Safety: coordinate non-routine work; report hazards; follow safety protocols and travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm/emergency response; perform other duties as assigned.

Education
