Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to work outdoors with utility clients, property owners and contractors.

You'll conduct inventories, hazard assessments and plan contractor work, while ensuring safe, sustainable vegetation management practices across diverse landscapes. As an employee-owned ESOP company, we offer growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a vehicle for job-site travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or utility line clearance experience.
• Superior species identification and invasive species knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communications and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Experience with GIS, data collection software or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors and gather field data.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards and enforce safety practices.
