Job summary

Quality Counts LLC in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Traffic Field Technician to support transportation projects across Oregon. This hands-on role involves installing and retrieving traffic data collection equipment, working outdoors, and traveling locally to project sites.

You will lift up to 50 lbs., operate power tools, and follow safety procedures while delivering reliable field data for engineers and planners.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on labor or field work such as construction or maintenance.
• Physically active and comfortable outdoors.
• Willingness to work a variable part-time schedule (10–15 hrs/wk off-season, 30+ hrs/wk peak).
• Reliable commute to Tigard, OR.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate basic power tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive across Portland and neighboring cities installing and retrieving traffic data collection equipment.
• Install video detection cameras and pneumatic road tubes.
• Work independently in the field following project instructions and safety procedures.
• Occasionally join teammates for surveys and parking studies.
• Travel locally and, when opportunities arise, to projects in other parts of the country.
