Job summary

Everett High School, part of Everett Public Schools, seeks an Indoor Track: Head Coach to lead and develop varsity athletes for the entire school year. The role emphasizes safety, discipline, and program growth within the school community.

Responsibilities include coaching, maintaining records, academic eligibility, equipment management, and collaboration with the athletic department to uphold standards and support student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Indoor track coaching experience desirable.
• Experience in high school or college coaching desirable.
• Knowledge of indoor track rules and ability to teach players.
• Ability to work with students, parents, staff and community.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants in skills for achievement in the sport.
• Maintain records: rosters, injuries, scores, stats and reports.
• Be available during the school year for guidance and counseling.
• Recommend equipment and uniforms as appropriate.
• Determine athletes' academic eligibility.
• Follow MIAA Handbook and school policies.
• Ensure safety of facilities and supervision during practices/contests.
• Attend meetings with athletic department and associations.
• Develop written practice plans with warm-up and cool-down.
• Support school staff and communicate with others to enhance athletics.
• Organize clinics for youth programs and supervise teams.
