Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of outdoor sports fields and facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and accessibility for all participants. The role involves supervising maintenance, coordinating field prep, and managing equipment to support youth leagues and events.

You will enforce safety practices, inspect facilities, and collaborate with coaches and staff to ensure smooth program delivery while guiding seasonal staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 and ability to perform physical duties.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities to coordinate staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of sports field maintenance practices and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of outdoor sports fields and facilities.
• Coordinate field preparation (mowing, lining, setup) for scheduled programs and events.
• Monitor field conditions and adjust to ensure surface quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory and care for equipment (goals, nets, balls, etc.).
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections.
• Collaborate with program coordinators, coaches, and staff to support leagues and tournaments.
• Interact professionally with participants, parents, and stakeholders.
• Supervise seasonal staff, contractors, and volunteers; provide training and guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by YMCA management.
