Cleghorn Gun Club in North Carolina is seeking a dependable Part-Time Sporting Clays Course Assistant to help operate our sporting clays facilities. The role combines indoor Pro Shop duties with on-course tasks to support daily operations and provide an excellent experience for members and guests.

The ideal candidate enjoys the outdoors, works well in a team, delivers strong customer service, and is willing to learn firearm safety and club procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience around firearms is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn safe firearm handling practices and club procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist members and guests with sporting clays activities
• Operate and manage the Pro Shop point-of-sale (POS) system
• Check in customers and process sales transactions
• Load and maintain clay target traps throughout the course
• Perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
• Assist with daily course preparation and closing procedures
• Provide general customer support and answer questions about course operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
