Job summary

SmartLam North America in Columbia Falls, MT seeks a Shipping and Receiving Associate to handle inbound/outbound shipments, verify items, unload trucks, and ensure proper storage. This full-time, non-exempt role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in Montana weather.

You will load trucks per instructions, tag materials, and help maintain a safe, efficient warehouse. A forklift background and basic math skills are valued, with training available for certification.

Qualifications

• Must work outside in all Montana weather conditions.
• Forklift certification preferred; training available.
• Basic math skills required for counting and inventory.
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound trucks and unload inbound trucks.
• Inspect deliveries to ensure they match orders and invoices.
• Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
• Attach labels and store items properly.
• Load and secure lumber for transport per instructions.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and safe working environment.
• Coordinate with managers and teammates to resolve issues.
• Operate forklift and move loads safely.
