Job summary

Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds is seeking Outdoor Education Facilitators to create memorable learning experiences for visiting youth. Facilitators lead hands-on science classes, recreational activities, challenge courses, and team-building exercises.

Candidates should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and strong communication with students and staff; willingness to work weekend programs and adapt to weather and harness work at height.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or environmental science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead outdoor science classes that align with program curriculum for students in 5th–8th grade.
• Facilitate recreational activities including hiking, games, and team building initiatives.
• Operate challenge course elements following established safety standards.
• Ensure participant safety by following camp policies, emergency procedures, and risk management practices.
• Run activities for camp guest groups (age range may vary) on weekends as needed.
• Assist in other areas of camp as needed.
