Job summary

YMCA Camp Hanes is seeking an Outdoor Educator/Conference Facilitator to implement science-based curricula and lead age-group activities for youth and families. You’ll work across archery, hiking, water ecology and team-building games while helping to coordinate and supervise conference groups.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, cleaning, and general camp maintenance, plus hosting group needs during sessions. Housing and meals are provided; weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent job experience.
• Experience in customer service and creating positive experiences with guests.
• Able to work with youth and families in an outdoor setting.
• Excellent communication skills when coordinating with peers and guests.

Responsibilities

• Implement science-based curriculum and help facilitate conference group activities.
• Assist with running meals, cleaning and other maintenance as required.
• Help host and oversee group needs during camp sessions, including weekend groups.
• Support camp operations and safety in outdoor environments.
