Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is hiring a Roadway Maintenance Technician in Buda, TX.

This full-time, outdoor role keeps highways safe by performing pothole repair, sign and guardrail work, drainage maintenance, and vegetation control while coordinating traffic control and responding to emergencies. Ideal candidates are comfortable working near traffic, completing shifts including nights and on-call rotations, and operating basic equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, MVR review, and controlled substance testing.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors on active highways and roadways with a crew.
• Perform roadway maintenance: guardrails, signs, pothole repair, drainage, mowing.
• Set up traffic control devices and respond to emergencies and snow/ice removal.
