Air Force Civilian Service at Edwards AFB seeks a Full-Time Supervisory Recreation Specialist (Outdoor Activities) to lead outdoor programs and supervise staff. The role supports readiness by managing programs that promote wellness, morale, and quality of life for Edwards residents.

Location is Edwards, CA, with a typical 2026 salary range of $47,490–$113,185 per year (includes locality). Telework is limited to situational/unscheduled options.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• This is a designated Drug Testing Position; commitment to improving federal government operations.

Responsabilités

• Supervises and manages personnel responsibilities for at least 25% of the time.
• Plans work, sets priorities, assigns tasks, and evaluates performance of subordinates.
• Interviews candidates and recommends appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
• Resolves employee complaints and administers disciplinary actions as needed.
• Plans, manages, and formulates policies for a complex outdoor recreation program.
• Supervises and coordinates classes, skill development seminars, and related contracts.
• Develops and manages annual budgets for non-appropriated and appropriated funds.
• Manages financial operations including fund collection, deposits, and purchase orders.
• Coordinates with Civil Engineering on facility maintenance, alterations, and construction.
• Ensures adherence to health, safety, and fire regulations in all program areas.
