Job summary

City of Bentonville Parks & Recreation is seeking an Outdoor Recreation Specialist to coordinate daily outdoor activities for diverse groups and manage events, facilities, and safety. You will support program development, sponsorships, and community outreach while ensuring clean, safe facilities and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college with emphasis in recreation management.
• Minimum one year experience working in recreation programs and activities.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program and event management for outdoor recreation activities.
• Develop new recreation programs, activities, equipment, and materials.
• Adapt city recreation programs to meet diverse community needs.
• Coordinate and promote city recreation programs to the public.
• Notify patrons of schedules and registration requirements.
• Assist in preparation and presentation of reports.
• Supervise recreation workers and assist in recruiting and training.
