Job summary

Gertens-Family of Businesses is seeking a Customer Sales Specialist to deliver exceptional service and drive sales through strong product knowledge of hardware and STIHL products. The role includes cross training in other departments and shifts, with a 15–20 hour/ week schedule.

You will assist customers, upsell related items, and process sales using POS systems. Comfort with weather conditions and a flexible weekend schedule is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in sales, retail, hardware, landscaping, or customer service.
• Interest in hardware, tools, outdoor power equipment, or STIHL products.
• Ability to learn POS and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product recommendations.
• Develop knowledge of STIHL outdoor power equipment, parts, accessories, and battery products.
• Assist customers with hardware, tools, outdoor power equipment, and related products.
• Demonstrate product features and explain proper applications and benefits.
• Build relationships with customers including local landscapers, contractors, and professionals.
• Identify sales opportunities and upsell/cross-sell complementary products.
• Process sales, orders, and deliveries using POS and inventory systems.
• Maintain pricing, signage, inventory, and merchandising.
• Keep the store and yard clean, organized, and safe.
• Stay current on new products, promotions, and industry knowledge.
• Share product knowledge and support other sales associates.
• Help resolve customer concerns with appropriate solutions.
