Kings County seeks a Parks and Grounds Supervisor to lead crews maintaining county parks and public spaces. You will oversee daily operations, guide staff, coordinate projects, and ensure outdoor areas are safe and attractive.

The role requires 3 years of journey-level experience in grounds maintenance, with at least one year in a lead role; CA driver’s license and QAC certification are required or pursued within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Three years of journey-level experience in park/grounds maintenance, including at least one year in a lead worker capacity.
• Education: completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and ability to obtain Class A CDL within 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Plans, assigns, supervises staff and inmate workers in parks/grounds maintenance; trains staff and evaluates performance.
• Develops goals, policies, and procedures for assigned operations; implements SOPs.
• Monitors unit activities and recommends process improvements; collaborates with other divisions.
