Effingham County, GA Board of Commissioners is seeking a part-time Park Attendant to help keep county parks safe, clean, and welcoming. You will greet visitors, monitor facilities, and report safety concerns while assisting with events and routine upkeep.

The position requires night and weekend availability and works outdoors typically. Past park or custodial experience is preferred, along with a valid GA driver’s license.

• Knowledge of basic park, facility, custodial, athletic field, and grounds maintenance practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with park visitors and staff.
• Awareness of safety rules and proper reporting procedures.

• Walks park areas to observe conditions, identify hazards, and report concerns.
• Greet visitors, answer routine questions, and provide information on park rules and hours.
• Monitor activities and assist with setup, rentals, and cleanup.
• Provide reminders about park rules and escalate when needed.
• Perform custodial tasks such as litter removal and restroom restocking.
• Assist with athletic field prep, setup, and post-event cleanup.
• Report incidents and maintain basic documentation.
• Operate approved tools and County vehicles only when trained.
