Job summary

Gloucester County is seeking Park Aide roles with flexible, part-time hours to assist in the daily operation and maintenance of county parks. The work involves direct interaction with visitors, ensuring safety, and supporting events and park activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and prior customer service or cash handling experience is preferred. A valid driver's license and ability to complete required training are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service and cash handling experience are preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public with matters of park usage.
• Prepare areas or buildings before events and secure them afterward.
• Open and close parks across the county.
• Perform general maintenance and inspection of park grounds, trails, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain activity and park attendance records.
• Participate in fee collections for equipment and facility rentals.
• Weigh and identify fish caught by park patrons.
• Patrol park property by foot or vehicle to ensure visitor safety.
